This is Alex Day's original 2016 recipe, built on a split base of Clear Creek pear brandy and Clear Creek 2-year apple brandy — an unusual double fruit brandy foundation. The crème de menthe and absinthe are used in micro amounts as seasoning, keeping the drink fruit-forward rather than herbal.
