Cocktail Codex: Fundamentals, Formulas, Evolutions
Alex Day, David Kaplan, and Nick Fauchald - 2018
This julep abandons the traditional bourbon base for a Cognac and Jamaican rum split, with Amaro CioCiaro bridging the funky pot still rum and the elegant Cognac while peach liqueur replaces the usual sugar, creating a julep with far more layered fruit and funk than the classic spec.
