This is Death & Co's adaptation of Don the Beachcomber's 1934 original, building on Brian Miller's earlier reworked recipe but dialing back the booze slightly and tweaking the rum mix. The key is the three-rum split of Jamaican (Appleton), aged Spanish-style (Ron del Barrilito), and overproof Demerara (Hamilton 151) — each bringing a distinct character.
